Volunteer Application
THIS for Diplomats volunteers give their time and talents to further our mission. Volunteers represent a wide variety of personal and professional backgrounds. Most have lived or travelled abroad and some are native to other countries. Many are multilingual. All seek and enjoy opportunities to interact with members of the diplomatic community.
Prospective volunteers are referred by current volunteers. Those without a referring volunteer can apply to the Volunteer Committee, which conducts interviews with prospective member volunteers. Applicants should have a sincere interest in citizen diplomacy and the ability to contribute time and effort to support the programs and cultural exchanges of THIS. Roles range from chairing event committees to providing refreshments for cultural exchanges to driving diplomats to events. All volunteers pay annual dues of $125.
